Growth
If you follow Finch & Daisy on any of our social media channels, you have probably noticed that we’ve experienced quite a bit of growth over this past year. Since January, we’ve added 12 new members to our Finch & Daisy family! You may be wondering why so much hiring? We’ve been fortunate enough to continue to gain new business over the last year and build upon already established partnerships. In all areas of our business we are witnessing growth, from new long-term accounting partnerships, to Yardi project work, to accounting-related special projects, we have been keeping very busy. We are grateful to all of our clients for placing your trust in us - and for those who have sent us referrals, we are incredibly appreciative that you think of us when helping your colleagues and business associates find new service providers.
Finch & Daisy will celebrate its sixth anniversary in early September and in that time we have grown from a one-woman shop run out of Joy’s “She Shed” to 36 employees located across the United States and the Philippines. But we aren’t stopping any time soon! We continue to look for new businesses to partner with, as well as expand the relationships we have already fostered. We would love to schedule a 30-minute introductory call if you are looking for a firm that is ‘reliable, kind, and the best at what we do’.
Leadership and Mentoring
One of the important things that we’ve learned through this period of growth and during our collective careers is the importance of mentoring, whether with someone in your own organization or having a mentor outside of your workplace. These relationships are critical to one’s professional development and the growth of any business. Many of our employees have long time mentoring relationships that they tend to on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. If this is something that you would be interested in, or if your organization needs leadership assistance on an interim basis, our CEO Joy Pearson would love to talk to you. In addition to leading Finch & Daisy over the last six years, she has led teams of accounting professionals, served as an interim CFO for various small businesses, and mentored first time entrepreneurs who are launching their own businesses. She is always interested in building professional relationships and providing her experience and guidance to others where possible.

Get to Know F&D
This month we sat down with Cierra Murry, one of our Accounting Managers, to get to know her a little bit better:
How Long Have You Been With F&D: Almost 2 months.
Favorite Movie: Don’t really have a favorite, but I do enjoy watching new movies with my Family.
Favorite Book: I read quite a few varieties of books. Lots of Colleen Hoover right now. One book I read a long time ago always sticks with me and it is “The Hour I first believed” by Wally Lamb.
Favorite Band: I love all kinds of music, Motown (50’s & 60’s), 90s music, country, and of course Taylor Swift!
If you could have any job in the world, what would you do? I would love to run a hobby farm or open a sandwich shop.
Where is the most breathtaking place you’ve ever traveled? Haven’t been there yet but I would love to visit Australia or Greece.
Fun Fact About You: I will stop for every turtle I see crossing the road and help them if needed. Even snapping turtles!
Pictured is Cierra, her husband Brian, two children Luella and Pilot. Thank you, Cierra, for sharing this month! Next month we'll be featuring another F&D team member in this space!
