First and foremost, the F&D team would like to extend our greetings and wishes for a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season to all our friends, clients, and acquaintances. It is hard to believe we are nearing the time to bid farewell to 2022. Our continued success would not be possible without the trust and support all of you place in us each and every day – THANK YOU!
In the November F&D newsletter, we mentioned our new Small Business Saturday program that we were in the process of rolling out. Before we head into the holiday season, we wanted to share the success of that program. In short, we provided gift cards to team members with the requirement that the gift cards be used at local small businesses of their choice. We were astonished by the participation in this program as over half of the team signed up. In turn, these team members invested countless dollars back into their local economies. By our count, our team members visited 15 businesses, in 14 separate communities, in 4 states. Below you’ll see some of the pictures shared by F&D team members from their shopping experiences:
Beyond that, we were pleased with the responses from the stores that were visited and tagged in the post. We even had one of the local businesses comment that they may steal this tradition for their employees next year! We are so happy that sharing these pictures and business information with everyone has had the positive impact we hoped it would.
So, as you are out and about thinking about holiday gifts, make a point to stop at the shop downtown or stop in at the local coffee shop as you are headed to a family gathering. The money that we spend at small businesses helps local economies grow and provides jobs to our family, friends, and neighbors.
We hope the coming weeks provide all readers with time to close their laptops, put down their phones, and spend time with family and loved ones. The work will be there in the Yew Year, enjoy a little downtime.
